Water Purity: Cleaning up a Murky Topic
People can be confused over the purity of their water, whether its municipal tap water or bottled drinking water. This confusion is understandable based on the limited regulatory guidance over water purity and the public relations disasters resulting from misleading claims made by corporations about their products.
The Sarasota-based company, AquaNew, intends to make a positive difference with its customers being more informed and able to rely upon the purity of its Watt-Ahh™, the new Hydro-Fortified Premium drinking water. Specifically, Melinda Lagasse, Director of Marketing, describes the four-step production process of Watt-Ahh™, which renders the water “pharmaceutical grade or better” and the final product is great tasting drinking water. The initial spring water passes through a RO (reverse osmosis) unit, then through a DI (deionizer) unit, next a vapor distiller and finally, infused with a new form of water which is based on the patented science of AquaNew. Most water including bottled and tap water, is only treated with a carbon filter and perhaps only one additional process.
